Manuscript, in a single hand, of a collection of miscellaneous anecdotes concerning notables of Wraxall's time. He includes an extensive account of the circumstances surrounding the wedding of Princess Elizabeth of England and suggests Robert Harley, Earl of Oxford to be the real author of "Robinson Crusoe," and Sir Philip Francis to be the author of the "Junius" letters.

British statesman. Robert Harley was born in London, England. He became a lawyer, and a Whig MP in 1689. In 1701 he was elected Speaker, and in 1704 became secretary of state.
